Quick answer

Cloudways does not provide email servers as part of the base hosting server. Mailboxes and transactional email are separate services or integrations.

Mailbox hosting is separate

Cloudways documents Rackspace Email as a mailbox add-on for addresses on your domain. That keeps website hosting and mailbox hosting separate rather than bundling them into every server plan.

Transactional email is a different problem

Order confirmations, password resets and form notifications need outbound email delivery. Cloudways supports Elastic Email and custom SMTP-style integrations, so choose the service according to sending volume and deliverability needs.

Migration requires DNS planning

Moving a website to Cloudways does not automatically move mailboxes. Preserve MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records and confirm the destination email service before changing DNS.

Decision takeaway

If bundled mailbox hosting is important, include that cost and workflow when comparing Cloudways with SiteGround or Hostinger. Do not migrate DNS until both website and email plans are explicit.
